The overall quality of our faculty is reflected by its representation on editorial boards of numerous journals and on NIH review groups. Fifteen members of our faculty are either editors or on the editorial board of journals such as Science, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Physiological Reviews, American Journal of Physiology, Journal of Neuroscience, Molecular Pharmacology, Circulation Research, Handbook of Physiology, Endocrinology, Journal of Cellular Physiology, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and Journal of Clinical Investigation. Fifteen members of our faculty are either presently serving or have served in the past as members of NIH study sections. Members of our faculty have awards which include the American Diabetes Research and Development award, NIH career development awards, American Heart Established Investigator awards, Sloan Fellow, Klingenstein Fellow, McKnight Fellow, Fulbright scholar, Award of Merit of the American Heart Association, John Jacob Abel Award, Merit Awards from NIH and a Fellow of the Royal Society of London.
